How to Know The Statistics of Your Blog

If you want to know about the statistics of your blog, there are interesting tools that can help. We can use Stat Counter or Hit Counter. One of the famous and interesting features is Histats. By using histats, we can know real time online user statistics, hourly, daily, and monthly stat - with forecast and comparison charts to help you understand visitor trends, the number of visitors, how many pages are read, etc.

Here is how to use histats:
1. Log in to http://www.histats.com/
2. Click on register.
3. Enter your email, password, your secret question and your secret answer.
4. Enter your site URL, Title, description, pages view start value, visitors start value
5. Select type (website, blog, myspace / Hi5 / Friendster), category (general, personal website, adult, music, or other), language. Click continue.
6. Select the counters you want to use
7. At the counter you choose, click on mouse at the circle under the counter
8. Scroll to the bottom, click continue
9. Click continue again
10. Wait about 20 seconds, copy (ctrl + C) the HTML code
11. Go into your blog to the layout, page elements, click add a gadget, select HTML / java script.
12. Paste (ctrl + V) the HTML code on the content. Don't forget to save.

Look at your blog. Now you can start using histats for analyzing your traffic. You can also compare histats and Google Analytics for more detail result.
